If it isn’t Fun … it isn’t Toastmasters!

You have heard me say that time and again. And I say it because I truly believe it.

One has to be enjoying one’s self to really learn and do their best. As Toastmasters one realizes that when they overcome the fear and just be themselves they have fun at this “Scary” thing we call public speaking. Could it also be true that if you “have Fun” and treat public speaking and life with a “Spirit of Play” that you will succeed as well?

These past two years in our District have been some of the most extraordinary in our history. Two years ago we were Number 4 in the world and President’s Distinguished. This last year we are also on track to being President’s distinguished again. Our goal for this year is to be one of the few Districts to ever be President’s Distinguished 3 years in a row.

This year we have an extraordinary team of District Officers and Club officers ready to lead us to being the best District in Toastmasters. But what does that mean for YOU … the club member? Actually, it has everything to do with you, because only if all of you are really winning in your clubs and achieving the goals you set for yourself, will we be Number 1.

I want to encourage each and every one of you to put into Toastmasters as much as you can and reap the extraordinary rewards of Confidence, Ability and Leadership Skills. I want each of you to use your abilities to forward your goals and dreams. That is why I have elected for our District theme this year to be:

“FIND YOUR VOICE AND … MAKE A DIFFERENCE”
