Kristina has lived in Florida since September 1990. Originally from Sweden, one of the reasons Kristina wanted to join Toastmasters was to expand her English vocabulary and to be more comfortable speaking English in business environments.
Kristina embraced the leadership side of Toastmasters immediately when she joined a brand new Club in Miami in June 2002. She became the VPE and attended training in the first two weeks. After a short hiatus and a move to Broward County, she joined Great Fort Lauderdale Club in July 2003; her home Club.
Kristina lives in Pompano Beach, in her beloved condo which temporarily also serves as her office. The commute is fantastic!
Club Officer roles that Kristina has served include President, VP PR, Secretary and she is now the VPM of the Broward Advanced Club. She is the proud recipient of the District 47 Toastmaster of the Year award 2005-2006.
Serving as Area Governor, Division Governor, Conference Chair x 2, Lt. Governor Marketing and Lt. Governor Education & Training has now lead Kristina to the ultimate leadership role as District Governor.
The theme for the District 47 2009-2010 Toastmaster year is CONFIDENCE – LEADERSHIP – SERVICE.
That is what she will provide as a leader and will work to make sure all members have as well.
Her wish is to see confident members that use their Toastmaster skills in all aspects of their lives.
We want to find that spark in all of you that make you a great leader. Again, this is a skill that you need at your work place, in your family, community work etc.
Service is something that we all will provide – as leaders, as Mentors to our new Members, as SAA when you greet the members and guests to your meeting, as a workshop presenter, as a volunteer at any Toastmaster event, as a functionary at your Club meeting or contest. Service is something we ALL will provide in one shape or another.
We are here to "get" skills out of Toastmasters, and the biggest “get” we can receive is to "give". Share your skills and knowledge and serve your Members, Club, Area, Division and District.
