I joined Toastmasters in 2005, and my involvement has given me the courage to step forward and s-t-r-e-t-c-h out of my comfort zone both personally and professionally! I look forward each and every day to share this wonderful resource with family, friends and coworkers.

As Area Governor, I will bring the District's message to my clubs and let them know that together, we can do great things! I will help our clubs create "events" that will promote confidence in the members, offer leadership opportunities, and be of service whenever needed.

I joined Toastmasters in October 2008 at the Sarasota Herald Tribune Club. I was quickly embraced by the club officers and was given the opportunity to speak during Table Topics. I actually won the Best Table Topics Speaker for the day. I was hooked from that point on. Within 6 months I was VP- Public Relations and I started the club's first newsletter and brought the club website back to life. Last March I won Area 60 Table Topic contest. I can feel the confidence Toastmasters has given me when speaking in front of people and I love it. After seeing my enjoyment of Toastmasters, my wife has joined and will be a Competent Communicator this summer.
