Confidence. Leadership. Service.

Confidence … The confidence I’ve gained since joining Toastmasters is indescribable. When I joined Toastmasters in March of 2008, I lacked confidence in myself and my abilities. With each speech and meeting role I became more comfortable and more confident.

Leadership … Our club needed a VP of Public Relations. I like marketing, so I thought what better opportunity to do what I enjoy – market Toastmasters. Then in January 2009, I became the VP of Education. As VPE, I had the privilege of helping members achieve their goals and elevate our club to President’s Distinguished for 2008 – 2009.

I am so excited about the opportunities Toastmasters has to offer. I want to share them with everyone – especially co-workers. I sponsored Jabil Toastmasters … we chartered on March 31st and have grown to 26 members!  I am the Immediate Past President of this Future President's Distinguished Club.

I also achieved my Competent Communicator, Compentent Leadership and Advanced Leader Bronze designation.

Service … I am dedicated to helping members of my clubs to achieve their goals and become the best they can be.

I am grateful for the opportunity of being introduced to Toastmasters. Many things have happened as a result of
Toastmasters … increased self-confidence, meeting wonderful people, new job, advanced leadership skills and time with my daughter. You see, I invited my daughter, Becca to join me at a meeting last summer. She had a great time. She became our “Member-in-Training”. Over the next eight months she counted down the weeks until she could join. She submitted her application the moment she turned eighteen.  [She was hoping to finish her CC prior to heading to Florida State University.  Unfortunately, she wasn't able to finish.  We're hoping she can fit TM into her schedule in Tallahassee so she can finish her CC.]  

What better gift to give your child than your time and Toastmasters?
