Division C Area Directors

Area C30 Director Barry DoctorArea C30 - Barry Doctor, ACS, ALB

Barry Doctor’s philosophy is to keep practicing and with every speech you give, you will improve. Even attending meetings is a learning experience. Mentoring is another level of learning. He joined Toastmasters to learn to give better speeches. Along with that, he found it valuable to learn about leadership, which deepened his confidence level, not only at Toastmasters but also in life. It has helped him overcome shyness in meeting new people. 

Barry has served as club president, vice president membership and treasurer of Delray Newsmakers and as vice president public relations at Boca Raton Advanced. Toastmasters. 
 He is a marketing consultant with HarborLight Partners and assists tech companies with revenue growth and sales enablement. His great passion is for the Boston Red Sox. He loves the Sox so much, he named his dog Fenway. 

Area C31 Director Nam NguyenArea C31 - Nam Nguyen, ACB, CL

Nam Nguyen’s Toastmasters journey began early in his professional career at an international accounting firm and was interrupted shortly thereafter by work schedule.   He attributed much of his 10 year career success with the firm to Toastmasters.  Several years after he left the firm, that positive Toastmasters experience brought him to his home club, Sensor Toast, where his communication and leadership skills are developed with the generous support of his former and current fellow Toastmasters.  
These skill sets are extremely valuable to his entrepreneurial endeavor with his own tax and accounting firm.  They are instrumental in advising his clients - individuals and start-up companies to multi-million businesses.   As Area Director, his goal is to learn and to help fellow Toastmasters reach their full potential as communicator and leader one Toastmaster at a time. 

Are C32 Director Yulimar Quintero-TrumboArea C32 - Yulimar Quintero-Trumbo, ACB

Yulimar Quintero-Trumbo has been a Toastmaster since July 2013. Besides serving as an area director, she also is a member of two clubs, is a mentor to one and serves five in total. She is a specialist in electoral technology, with a background in international business development and systems engineering. She has worked for a number of high-tech companies and served in more than 30 countries around the world.

Yulimar is fluent in English, French and Spanish and is working on mastering Mandarin and Italian.

She recently committed to entrepreneurial pursuits, started a consulting company,  She home-schools her two children and partakes a broader role in her community.

She is passionate about life and serving others and puts great emphasis on multicultural, multilingual dynamics, and she understands the importance of communication, respect and unique perspective in relation to achieving goals in a team environment.

Area C33 Director Claudine GunningArea C33 - Claudine Gunning, ACB, CL

Claudine Gunning has been a Toastmaster with West Boca Toastmasters Club since 2008 and has served in several leadership positions: sergeant at arms, secretary and club president.

She has also mentored a new club and has participated in Table Topics and evaluator contests.   

Claudine’s goals for the 2016-2017 year are to motivate and inspire clubs to grow in membership and to reach President Distinguished status, thus helping all members to be confident in their speaking skills and to become great leaders. 

She’s looking forward to the challenge of being director of Area 33 and is eager to share this exciting experience with her fellow Toastmasters for a fantastic 2016-2017!

Area C34 Director Shana JermanArea C34 - Shana Jerman, CC, ALB

In 2012, Shana was invited to a Toastmasters meeting by a friend and never turned back. Since becoming a member of the Office Depot Toastmasters Club she has served in various club officer roles and was voted Toastmaster of the Year for her club in 2013. Shana is always looking for new ways to learn, grow, improve and challenge herself and is excited to serve as an area director. This year, she most looks forward to helping others recognize their potential and helping clubs in her area achieve Distinguished status.
Professionally, Shana works as a lead developer at Office Depot. She moved to South Florida in 2005 from Milwaukee, Wisconsin.
