Ancin Munnings is a Senior Coordinator of IT Operations by profession. A Toastmaster since 2012, Ancin did not seek out Toastmasters at all! After graduating from Government High his former boss and now fellow Toastmaster invited him to attend a meeting of The First Bahamas Branch of Toastmasters Club 1600 but declined due to seeing it as not being “his kind of thing” at that time being an introvert. However, five years later the offer came to him again to visit Club 1600 and he accepted it discovering that this is what is needed to “get him out of his shell”. Since joining Toastmasters, he has climbed the ladder of leadership serving in all club officer positions (Sergeant at Arms to President), serving as the Area 93 Director, serving as the Club Retention Chairman (for The Bahamas), he is currently the Division I Director of District 47 and was elected as the Club Growth Director of District 47 (2023-2024). Ancin obtained the coveted Distinguished Toastmaster designation (the highest education award in Toastmasters) in 2020. Ancin credits Toastmasters for finding his path in life and the myriad of experiences and mentorship along his journey shaped him into the professional that he is today being a leader and not a follower. He states, “Being a leader is the most responsible, yet most rewarding role anyone could have, for that reason, it is not an easy task to become one and it is even more difficult to maintain the role. If you wish to become a good leader you must be an effective communicator with a no excuses, only adjustments mindset”. He is an avid reader, and sports enthusiast, and loves to travel.

Zig Ziglar states ‘You do not have to be great to start but you have to start to be great’. In August of 2016 I began my Toastmasters journey by becoming a member of Pinnacle Seekers Toastmasters Club 5713325. My passion for the program did not stop there as I developed the desire for continued growth and education. I also recognized that though actively engaging in the program and serving others my growth accelerated exponentially.
Presently I am an active member of four (4) clubs, Leading Voices, The First Breakfast Club, Fusion Toastmasters Club in Barbados, and Waladli Toastmasters Club in Antigua. I’ve embraced knowledge that this truly global organization provided opportunities to glean from and pour into learners from every corner of the world. Armed with this knowledge I held membership in a number of other clubs such as The Advanced Club, and F.G. Knights Toastmasters Club (Bahamas), The Outspoken Toastmasters Club (Florida), Intercontinental Advance Toastmasters Club (California), Rafiki Toastmasters Club (Kenya, East Africa) and Cable Beach West Toastmasters Club (Bahamas).
My Toastmasters journey has been one that was filled with service as I am always seeking opportunities to serve in any capacity. At the club level I’ve held the positions of President, VPE, VPM and Sergeant At Arms in five (5) of the aforementioned clubs. At the District level I’ve served as an Area Director and Division Director. Through serving others I have achieved several distinctions:
My Distinguished Toastmaster designation, two (2) time President’s Distinguished Club President, President’s Distinguished Area Director and Select Distinguished Division Director. But I would say that to date my greatest accomplishment is that of Club Sponsor for Leading Voices Toastmasters Club 7875684.
For four (4) years I was engaged with Bobcat Bahamas where I learnt about the aspects of equipment operations and management. This was very instrumental for me as I am now the owner and operator of Triton Solutions Enterprises. A business that has been providing construction equipment rental for the last fourteen (14) years here in the Bahamas.
Prior to joining Bobcat Bahamas in 2006, I worked with Abaco Markets for fourteen (14) years. There I severed as General Manager of Solomon’s Super Center and Vice President of Operations for the franchisee division with responsibilities for Domino’s Pizza, Dunkin Donuts and Dairy Queen.
My previous experiences have taught me that the more I serve the more I grow. This mindset positions me to live Mahatma Ghandi’s quote “the best way to find yourself is to lose yourself in the service of others”. I discover new things about myself at every level and through every individual that I serve.

Gary enjoys communion with God and others in quiet moments (TAG time) and those He surrounds Gary with to receive and be a blessing. Love practicing healthy habits like: workouts, puzzles, reading, singing/speaking publicly and especially loving those in need. I especially enjoy allowing unplanned margin time to “interrupt” him with the opportunity they are to grow in loving kindness and service. Gary truly enjoys how Toastmasters changes lives!
